Short answer
The ERPSYNC Excel add-in adds custom functions that pull live financials from your synced QuickBooks Online and NetSuite books into the grid: full balance sheets and income statements that spill into cells, single account balances, group subtotals, labeled ratios and chart-ready monthly or yearly trends — filtered by entity, department and date, and refreshable in place.

The functions
- =ERPSYNC.BALANCESHEET(entity, as_of, …) — a formatted balance sheet that spills into the sheet; monthly or yearly modes give trended columns.
- =ERPSYNC.INCOME(entity, from, to, …) — an income statement, optionally by department and with a total column.
- =ERPSYNC.BSACCOUNT and =ERPSYNC.ISACCOUNT — a single account’s balance or activity.
- =ERPSYNC.SUBTOTAL(entity, group, date1, date2) — roll-ups like Current Assets, Revenue, COGS, any QuickBooks account type or any parent account.
- =ERPSYNC.TREND(entity, group, mode, from, to) — a monthly or yearly series ready to chart.
- =ERPSYNC.RATIO(label, value) and =ERPSYNC.ENTITIES() — labeled ratios and the list of entities you can report on.
How teams use it
Build the monthly reporting package once, point the date cells at the new month, and refresh. Entities and departments are addressed by name, and several entities can be combined into one statement.
With Claude in Excel, the agent knows the ERPSYNC function reference and can lay out a report for you — “build a trailing-twelve-month P&L for the three operating companies with a gross margin row” — then leave the live formulas in place.
Statements use your reporting map, so account names and roll-ups match your presentation rather than each company’s raw chart of accounts.
What to ask your AI agent
With ERP Sync connected to Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-capable agent, requests like these work as written:
Build a balance sheet for each entity side by side as of 9/30 using ERPSYNC formulas.
Add a monthly revenue trend for 2026 and chart it.
The ERP Sync tools behind it
These are the MCP tools an agent calls. Each one is switched on or off per user, and read-only versus read-write is set per feature.

Limits and requirements
- Reads your synced ERP Sync ledger (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite and imported entities).
- Combining entities is a straight sum without intercompany eliminations — label it “Combined,” not “Consolidated.”
- Accounts that net to zero are left out of statement output.
Frequently asked questions
Is the data live or a static export?
Live from ERP Sync’s synced ledger; recalculate to refresh. ERP Sync keeps the ledger current with incremental sync from QuickBooks Online and NetSuite.
Does it work with departments and classes?
Yes — departments can be addressed like entities, and the statement functions take a department filter.
